The new issue of Sportcal.com’s quarterly Sports Market Review places the sports programme for the 2016 Olympic Games under the microscope.With seven sports vying for a maximum of just two places on the programme, we present a summary of the IOC programme commission’s report on the candidate sports when they were reviewed in 2005 and compare this with their own assessments of their progress since then.
