High-profile Guests on the Main Stage at Sports Venue Summit
High-profile guests on the Main Stage

A whole host of top players are to put in an appearance at the Allianz Arena – and that not in a match involving FC Bayern Munich. The organiser of the leading European sports venue conference is delighted that countless leading international speakers have confirmed their attendance of this year’s Sports Venue Summit:

For seven years, Hein Verbruggen was one of the most important advisers to IOC president, Jacques Rogge; for eight, he has been the president of SportAccord, the umbrella organisation for more than 100 international sports associations. As one of the world’s most renowned sports functionaries, the 70-year-old provides “development aid” for non-Olympic associations, and knows how to organise new high-calibre events around the multi-sport movement. In Munich, Verbruggen will outline how the sports venues of the future must look for these events.

Another no less famous and influential attendee is Marek Lieberberg. The founder of the eponymous concert agency is a welcome guest at Europe’s sports venues, ensuring turnover in the millions time and time again during sport-free periods with his music shows. The impresario will consider the future characteristics of events and host venues. His credo for entertainment events: “Bigger, brighter, louder, more perfect”.

The new General Secretary of the German Football Association (DFB), Helmut Sandrock, and the Executive Director of the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS), Helmut Spahn, are also among the high-profile conference attendees set to put in an appearance on the Main Stage.
