Hublot signs Cricket Australia deal in nick of time
Hublot, the luxury Swiss watch brand, has signed a one-year deal to become the official licensed watch of Cricket Australia.
As part of the partnership, Hublot will produce 32 limited-edition Classic Fusion Ashes Watches, in recognition of the 32 Ashes series wins by both Australia and England.
The 33rd watch will be presented to the winning captain of the latest five-test Ashes series, which got under way in Brisbane yesterday.
Hublot will also receive rights to the countdown clock on in-stadium signage, used to count down until the start of the coin toss and each session, across the test matches and limited-overs series.
Hublot was a sponsor of the 2015 Cricket World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand and the 2016 World Twenty20 in India, and earlier this year agreed a three-year deal to sponsor the major events of the International Cricket Council, the sport’s world's governing body.
It also counts former Australian captain Michael Clarke (pictured) as a global ambassador.
