DAZN continues expansion with search for strategy director
DAZN, the over-the-top streaming platform owned by Perform, is continuing its global expansion with the search for a strategy director.
The strategy director will be responsible for overseeing DAZN’s long-term strategic goals and will be tasked with leading various projects.
The newly-created role, which will sit within the platform's commercial team, will be based at DAZN’s offices in Feltham and Hammersmith in London.
DAZN has said the ideal candidate would have a willingness to travel, an innovative and consultative mindset, international experience and an understanding of international markets.
The strategy director’s responsibilities:
• Identifying and analysing new strategies across all areas
DAZN has continued to expand since it went live in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan in 2016.
That same year, Perform gave an indication of potential future markets for its OTT service when it bought up domain names for DAZN in Canada, the UK, Scandinavia, Russia and Oceania.
Earlier this year, Canada became the OTT service's fifth territory, and James Rushton, the DAZN chief executive, has claimed that the platform plans to "double" its number of markets in the space of 18 months,
