AEG seeks director of media and partnership sales
Anschutz Entertainment Group, the California-based sports and entertainment company, is looking to hire a director of media and partnership sales to lead its global commercial division.
The appointed candidate will be responsible for overseeing all of AEG’s corporate assets, including AXS TV, the television network which offers content from AEG events, on-site signage, promotional opportunities, logos and marks, as well other online assets.
AEG’s Global Partnership division manages sponsorship naming rights and strategic deals for its venues, music festivals and 20 sports teams, including the LA Galaxy (soccer), LA Kings (ice hockey) and LA Clippers (basketball).
AEG has said the new director will “engage new and existing strategic partners to drive business value across all AEG platforms."
It states that ideal candidate should have a strong business acumen and deep knowledge of sports sponsorship, television and the digital marketplace.
In addition, seven years and upwards of senior level sales experience, including sponsorship sales, servicing and activation experience within the sports and entertainment industry is preferred.
The recruitment process is being handled by Prodigy Sports, the USA-based sports industry recruitment company.

Last month, AEG was named as the official licensee of merchandise for next year’s Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament, which will take place in San Francisco from 20 to 22 July.
The company manages various sports venues in the USA including, Los Angeles’ StubHub Center and Staples Center and London’s O2 Arena and Wembley Arena.
