CBC rides on with Spruce Meadows for three more years
CBC, the Canadian public-service broadcaster, has extended its long-running deal to offer prominent show jumping events from the country’s renowned Spruce Meadows venue until 2020.
Under the new three-year agreement, the network will continue to offer television and online coverage of competitions including The National, The North American and The Masters held at the equestrian facility in Calgary, Alberta.
The deal was announced by CBC during its coverage of the CSIO Spruce Meadows Masters, part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, at the weekend.
CBC has also committed to continue offering live action from the other three events in the series, namely the CHIO Aachen, CHI Geneva and The Dutch Masters.
CBC has been a broadcasting partner of Spruce Meadows for the past 25 years.
