West Ham signs up Hantec Markets as FX sponsor
West Ham United, of English soccer’s top-tier Premier League, have signed up Hantec Markets, the foreign exchange trading company, as its latest sponsor.
Under the three-year deal, Hantec Markets becomes the official FX partner of the club and will have branding across the team’s ‘Fantasy Football’ content.
Karen Brady, vice-chairman of West Ham United, commented: “I am thrilled to welcome Hantec Markets to the West Ham United family. Hantec Markets’ brand values and ‘trust through transparency’ slogan fit perfectly with West Ham United’s approach and we are very excited about the benefits that the partnership can bring as we continue to grow and develop our corporate identity on a global scale.”
Hantec Markets joins West Ham portfolio of
sponsors which includes MRF Tyres, the tyre manufacturer which is the club’s
first sleeve sponsor, and Betway, the online betting company.
West Ham sported the logo of Alpari, another foreign exchange broker, on their shirts during the 2013-14 season and part of the 2014-15 campaign, but its deal was ripped up as the company’s UK arm entered insolvency.
Alpari was paying around £3 million (£4 million) per year for its shirt sponsorship, but was replaced by betting and gaming firm Betway in a significantly improved contract.
