McDonald's back on board for International Champions Cup in USA
McDonald's, a major sponsor of Fifa, has signed up as a sponsor of the International Champions Cup, the pre-season exhibition soccer tournament involving various prominent clubs, for the second successive year.
McDonald's will be an official sponsor of the 2017 International Champions Cup presented by Heineken, which will feature 12 matches played across 10 US cities between 19 and 30 July.
Under the terms of the deal, the fast food giant will lead youth soccer camps in multiple cities, and will provide unique pre-game experiences for fans at selected ICC matches. As part of these activations, fans in Houston (NRG Stadium), New York (MetLife Stadium), Los Angeles (Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum) and Miami (Hard Rock Stadium) will have access to McDonald’s fan fest activities, including turf fields for friendly soccer games, photo booths, and sampling opportunities.
In addition, McDonald's will kit out mascots, ball boys and flag bearers for each of the 12 matches.
This year's matches in USA will feature Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
