FloSports adds US college basketball tours to streaming portfolio
FloSports, the USA-based live streaming sports platform, is to show games from the overseas tours of several US college basketball teams this year after striking an exclusive deal with Basketball Travelers Inc, the international competition organiser and promoter.
Under the ‘multi-year’ deal, FloSports is to live-stream the Paradise Jam tournament in the Virgin Islands, the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas and the Duel in the Desert in Las Vegas.
The agreement also covers the University of Kansas’ men’s basketball team’s tour of Italy, which takes place from 31 July to 8 August, and the University of Arizona men’s basketball team’s tour of Spain, which runs from 10 to 19 August.
FloSports replaces CBS Sports, the US broadcaster, which previously held exclusive rights to the tournaments.
The events join FloSports' existing portfolio of basketball events, which already include the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, a high school basketball tournament, the Hoophall Classic, City of Palms, Les Schwab Invitational, Chick-fil-A Classic, Hoophall West and the National Hoopfest Series.
