New September start date for AISTS Master of Sports Administration (MSA)
Starting next edition, the AISTS Master of Sports Administration (MSA) 14-month programme will be commencing in September.
Traditionally, the AISTS MSA has started each year in January. However, the change has been made with the expectation that it will lead to an enhanced experience for future participants.
The new change falls in line with a more traditional academic period, which means the participants will start in the same period as the rest of the students at the EPFL campus.
Perhaps more significantly, potential employers have told the AISTS that the new schedule will allow participants to be available during their more busier hiring period, as classes will be concluding at the end of June.
From June to December, participants will be required to fullfill at least 8 weeks of full time work experience in the sport industry as well as submit their research paper as part of the degree requirements.
The new start date does not impact the programme curriculum, content, the quality of the teaching or the amount of time spent in class. The only thing that is changing is when the programme starts.
Applications for the upcoming edition commencing towards the end of September 2016 are now open and can be submitted via the online application form.
The new application deadlines are:
- 1st February
- 15th May
The AISTS is continually focusing on improving the AISTS MSA programme in meaningful ways and the belief is that this change is for the better.
