Henkel Becomes Official Sponsor of the 2008 Men’s European Handball Championship
The European Handball Federation’s (EHF) major event, will take place from 17-27 January 2008 in Norway, brings together Europe’s best men’s handball teams. The line-up includes established handball countries from Scandinavia, as well as Germany, Spain, France and Russia, as well as successful teams from smaller countries such as Croatia and Slovenia.
This will be the first time that Henkel has been involved with a European Handball Championship. A pan-European event, the tournament is perfect communication platform to raise awareness in their core markets while further expanding the impact of their brands in the fast-growing eastern European markets.
With the agreement, Henkel secures strong, visible presence during the event through perimeter advertising, product promotion and branding on referees’ shirts – the first time this has been permitted in the history of the event. The comprehensive sponsorship package also includes VIP access and tickets for hospitality purposes.
